If you’re running an authority site, then you know that creating high-quality content can be time-consuming and expensive.

But what if there was a way to create great content quickly and easily, without spending a lot of money?

Well, there is: Jasper.

Jasper is a content creation tool that allows you to generate high-quality content with the push of a button.

I was skeptical

I’ll admit, when I first heard about Jasper, I was skeptical.

I’d seen a lot of AI writing tools already. And, at best, they could produce semi-cogent blurbs.

But, I decided to try Jasper out for myself.

After signing up and giving the software a spin, I was pretty stunned.

Jasper is able to write unique content about obscure topics with mind-blowing factual accuracy.

One of the big problems with AI content is that, from my experience, the facts are all wrong.

So you spend 15 minutes creating content and then 45 minutes fact-checking a bunch of AI-invented misinformation.

It’s a drag.

Stunning results

With Jasper, you can write a 2,000-word, highly-structured blog post on clairvoyance, for example, in 10 minutes with zero factual errors (as far as psychic content goes).

I’ve never seen it produce duplicate content- and I frequently spot-check with Copyscape.

It automatically creates a variety of thematic subheadings, filling them out with cogent information.

And then you can easily add your own sections, for example, a numbered list like this:

Clairvoyant abilities can be used in a number of ways to improve daily life. Here are a few examples:

1. Clairvoyance can be used to find lost objects.

2. Clairvoyance can help you make better decisions by providing information about future events.

3. Clairvoyance can be used to improve your relationships by giving you insights into the thoughts and feelings of others.

4. Clairvoyance can help you heal yourself and others by providing information about the cause of illness or injury.

5. Clairvoyance can be used to develop your creativity by providing you with ideas and inspiration.

6. Clairvoyance can help you connect with your higher self, spirit guides, and other beings in the spiritual realm.

7. Clairvoyance can be used to protect yourself and your loved ones from harm.

8. Clairvoyance can be used to increase your prosperity and abundance.

9. Clairvoyance can help you find your soulmate or perfect match.

10. Clairvoyance can help you achieve your highest potential in life.

Am I just an affiliate shill?

I know, I know…I sound like any other raving affiliate trying to get you to buy, but Jasper has completely changed how I approach content creation.

If I’m going to write anything, whether it’s a blog post on 3D printers, or a niche report on this site, I start writing inside of the Jasper editor.

No other tool has so totally upended my editorial workflow before.

It 10x’s the speed and scale of my content production all while decreasing my cost of content.

Anyway…in this review, I’m going to talk about all the different things Jasper can do, including how it works with demos, who should use it, and whether or not it’s worth the investment.

So, if you’re interested in learning more about Jasper, then keep reading!

To start off, from a high-level, this is what I like and don’t like about Jasper:

What I Like

  • Ease of use: Easy to create long-form, foundational blog posts in minutes
  • Speed: It’s fast…very fast and once you get a hang of it, you’ll be producing 2,000 words of organized, articulate content in 15 minutes
  • Astounding quality: I’m often awestruck how cogently and exhaustively Jasper can create content on obscure topics
  • Interface: User interface is pretty slick and easy to use
  • Active development: new features are being added routinely, so I’m confident the product will improve even more
  • Factual accuracy: this is a big problem with a lot of AI writers. I’m frankly stunned that Jasper is as good as it is when it comes to getting things right. While I would always spot-check statistics or claims I’m unsure of, by and large it gets things right.
  • Huge community: there are tons of people in their Facebook Group discussing how they use Jasper and producing custom, free-to-use Jasper ‘Recipes’ so that you can create unique styles of blog content
  • Surfer SEO integration: Jasper also integrates with the internet’s favorite correlational SEO tool- letting you create comprehensive content outlines and feed them directly into Jasper for totally optimized blog posts

What I Don’t Like

  • Learning curve: you need to play around with it and watch some YouTube tutorials to get a handle how to best use it. Sometimes it can get ‘stuck’ and repetitive unless you feed it some unique information or prompts. It’s almost like dealing with a sentient being- it has tons of potential but can be mercurial until you understand how to cajole it

What it looks like

Here are some examples of prompts, how it writes, and what the output looks like:

Writing an About page

I tell it, “Write a fun and engaging About page for a psychic’s blog telling her life story. Her name is Melissa“:

Here’s the output:

My name is Melissa and I am a psychic. I have been blessed with the gift of seeing into the future and helping others achieve their dreams.

I was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in a small town outside of the city. When I was eight years old, I had my first vision of the future. I saw my grandmother's death before it happened. This event changed my life and made me realize that I had a special gift.

I started working as a psychic when I was eighteen years old. I worked in a small shop in Hollywood, California. Since then, I have helped hundreds of people achieve their dreams and goals. I have also appeared on television and radio shows, sharing my gift with the world.

I am blessed to be able to help others through my gift of psychic ability. If you ever have any questions or need help achieving your dreams, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be more than happy to help you achieve your goals.

Once you have this content generated, you can bulk it up even more by adding in prompts like “When I was 25” and pressing Ctrl-J:

When I was 25 , I moved to New York City to pursue my dream of becoming a professional psychic. I started working at a small psychic shop in Greenwich Village. After a few years, my clientele began to grow and I decided to start my own business.

I now work as a full-time psychic and have helped many people achieve their goals and dreams.

Writing a DIY blog post

I tell it, “Write a lengthy blog post about bedroom decoration ideas”:

Here’s the output:

Are you looking for some bedroom decoration ideas? If so, then you have come to the right place. In this blog post, we will be discussing a few different ideas that you can use to decorate your bedroom.

One of the first things that you need to do when decorating your bedroom is to decide on a color scheme. You want to choose colors that are relaxing and calming. Some good choices for bedroom colors are blues, greens, and lavenders. Once you have chosen a color scheme, you can then begin to look for bedding and furniture that match these colors.

Another important aspect of decorating your bedroom is choosing the right furniture. You want to choose furniture that is functional and comfortable. Make sure that you measure the space in your bedroom before you go furniture shopping. This way, you will know exactly what size bed and dresser you need. You also want to make sure that the furniture you choose goes well with the color scheme of your bedroom.

When it comes to decorating your bedroom, you also want to make sure that you have enough storage space. This is important because you do not want your bedroom to look cluttered. There are a lot of different ways that you can add storage to your bedroom. You can buy dressers with plenty of drawers or get creative and use boxes or baskets. Just make sure that whatever storage solution you choose, it matches the rest of the decor in your bedroom.

Finally, when it comes to decorating your bedroom, you want to make sure that you have enough light. You do not want your bedroom to be too dark or too bright. The best way to achieve this is by using a combination of overhead lighting and lamps. You can also use candles to add a bit of romance to your bedroom. Just make sure that you do not use too many candles because this can cause a fire hazard.

These are just a few ideas that you can use to decorate your bedroom. If you follow these tips, you should be able to create a beautiful and relaxing space!

And, once again, you can bulk it up by adding more sections. I used the prompt “write a blog post outline” and it produced these sections:

1. Choose a color scheme

2. Find bedroom furniture that is functional and comfortable

3. Add storage to your bedroom

4. Install overhead lighting and lamps

5. Use candles for atmosphere

6. Decorate with plants

7. Hang artwork on the walls

You just need to press Ctrl-J beneath these sections and it’ll spit out even more content.

Just keep feeding it unique headings and angles and before you know it you’ll have a 2,000-word masterpiece!

I could get it to 2,000 words probably within 10 minutes- crazy!

How I Use It

To create foundational blog posts I want to get exactly right

I outsource a lot of content, but sometimes I want to produce a massive, foundational article and don’t trust a writer to cover all of the subtopics completely.

It’s actually faster and more cost-effective sometimes to use Jasper to near-instantly generate the content than write-up custom instructions for a writer, wait for them to finish, and pay them on top of it.

To supplement outsourced content

Another strategy I use- I’ll outsource an Instagram listicle like ’11 Types Of Ocean Monsters” and then supplement it with Jasper content.

Jasper loves writing fun, engaging content and thrives when it’s fed unique ideas and angles.

To help write blog post intros

Introductions are some of the hardest things to write for me on this site. While I hand write everything on NicheFacts, I used Jasper to create this introduction for my recent shoe blog post:

Do you love shoes? Do you have a real passion for fashion? If so, starting a shoe blog could be the perfect niche business for you!

It’s a catchy little blurb that would have taken me a while to come up with on my own, but Jasper makes it a cinch if you feed it a prompt like “write a fun introduction about starting a shoe blog” and press Ctrl-Shift-J with your cursor at the end of the prompt.

To help fill out About Pages & Homepages on new sites

Jasper is also great for helping fill out About Pages & Homepages on new sites. When you first create a website, it can be tough to know what to put in these pages, and Jasper can help.

About pages can be a hassle to create- but it’s a great idea for Google’s E.A.T. requirements to have a lengthy About Me page. Jasper makes it super easy to create.

To help write emails

Writing email content doesn’t come naturally for me, so Jasper is a huge help here.

Jasper is fantastic at brainstorming content, writing catchy intro sentences, coming up with calls to action, and generally filling out my email content.

I’ll write the majority of the email myself, but use Ctrl-J (the Compose short-cut) to finish sentences or help write clickable calls to action.

I’m able to write a lot more emails to my list because of how much assistance Japser provides.

Plus, since I like using Jasper, I don’t dread writing emails anymore.

Stuff you can use it for that I don’t

Social media content

I use MissingLettr for my social media, but if I wanted to be a bit more involved, Jasper has dedicated Templates to create engaging social media content.

Ads

If you’re running ads with Google or Facebook, Jasper has dedicated Templates for ad creative.

Rewrites

It also has an integrated ‘rephrase’ and a ‘explain it to a 5th grader’ feature. All you need to do is highlight the text and click either option inside of the Boss Mode editor and Jasper will reproduce rewritten content.

Video Scripts

You can use Jasper to create video scripts for your YouTube videos. Either full-length scripts you read or outlines that will help you organize your thoughts.

As a long-suffering Knicks fan, I entered this prompt into the Video Script Outline template “5 Reasons Why The Knicks Should Trade For Zion Williamson”:

jasper video script outline template

and here’s the output:

1. Zion Williamson is a once-in-a-generation player
2. He would give the Knicks an immediate boost in popularity
3. He would make the Knicks a playoff contender
4. His presence on the team would attract other top players to New York
5. The Knicks have the assets to pull off a trade for him

Pretty stunning, right?

This is a nice, actionable script you can use when shooting a video.

Or, just use the Boss Mode editor to expand on these topics and create the script in its complete entirey!

OK, so how does pricing work?

You have to understand the plans and pricing to take full advantage of its capabilities:

jasper pricing

You NEED to get the Boss Mode plan to unlock the Google Docs Style Editor and the Compose & Command Features.

That’s what enables you to create long-form content with the click of a button.

Which is what I demonstrated in the gifs above.

If you stick with the Starter plan, you get access to a variety of Recipes:

jasper templates

And while these are cool and useful, you don’t get access to the long-form editor, which is where ALL the value lies with this product.

That is if you’re trying to create rankable, long-form content for your authority site.

If you just want to create Ads, use the AIDA framework to generate sales copy, or produce small blurbs, then stick with the Starter plan.

How does it actually work?

Jasper’s automated content generation system works by using a combination of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

First, you provide Jasper with a topic that you want content for. Then, Jasper will use AI and NLP to research the topic and generate high-quality content based on what it finds.

Is Jasper worth the investment?

Yes, Jasper is definitely worth the investment. Here’s why:

I’m basically spending $100 a month for 100,000 words, which comes out to $.0010 a word.

That’s a tenth of a cent for a word- and it’s writing much better quality than what I get in HireWriters, which at its cheapest is $.0062 a word.

And I guarantee you that Jasper content is much, much better than what you’ll get from HireWriters at that low price point.
